The temple was originally founded by Hakka monk Shifu Ruixiang from Guangdong before later being led by Venerable Seang Heng (常恒法师) and Venerable Mingzhen (明真法师). Over the years, the temple became known for its Buddhist teachings, ceremonies, and community prayer services.
