How to Create a Lasting Memorial at Lin San Temple – Without the Hidden Worries of Temporary Niches
Peace of Mind from the Start
When choosing a resting place, two concerns matter most: accessibility and permanence. Lin San Temple (灵山寺) addresses both.
A convenient location in the heart of Singapore (市中心)
Situated at 27 Lorong 12, Geylang (芽笼12巷), the temple offers families a central and easily accessible sanctuary.
Its location makes it convenient for regular visits, whether you’re coming by car or public transport. Despite being in a lively district, the temple provides a calm, serene atmosphere where families can gather to honour and remember their loved ones.
Freehold Assurance (永久地契)
At Lin San Temple, your loved ones are enshrined in a truly permanent resting place. Unlike many other columbaria where ashes may need to be relocated after a lease expires, our freehold niches and ancestral tablets provide a sacred sanctuary that endures for generations.

The Heritage of Lin San Temple (灵山寺)
Venerable Seang Heng was born in China, Jiangsu. He became a monk at the age of 11 and grew up in Nanjing Gulin Temple which he then moved to station in Port Klang, Malaysia. When he took over Lin San Temple, he purchased Chong Hua Temple on the same street.
Under the leadership of Venerable Seang Heng, Lin San Temple grew in popularity with many believers visiting the temple to worship Buddha. Additionally, the monastery often invited other monks to conduct the Buddhist lessons and Venerable Seang Heng participated in almost all the prayer ceremonies in Kong Meng San.
Rebuilding Lin San Temple (灵 山寺)
However, about 20 years ago, structural damage and insufficient funding led to the project being temporarily suspended, with the temple being declared unsafe.
Venerable Seang Heng’s greatest wish was to see the temple rebuilt, a hope he held until his passing in 2017. Thanks to the community’s fundraising efforts, the reconstruction was finally completed in March 2023, fulfilling his dream.
